As many of you know, animals are so important to me!
I love the work that I do as Secretary of the WearWoof.org Board of Directors, as a social media consultant for Paws N Claws Eyewear, a company who donates a portion of proceeds to the ASPCA, and with the Lions Club, where we often do work with guide dogs, leader dogs, and service dogs for the blind and visually-impaired.
I try to spread as much awareness as I can about local pet shelters and animal rescues, charity events benefitting animal welfare causes, local and national animal-related news stories and petitions, and adoptable dogs and cats — and thank goodness that social media has given me a platform to do so! (I also thank the Animal Rescue League and South Hills Pet Rescue for blessing me with some of my own fur-babies!)
Anyway, this past Sunday was one of the best events of the year: the WearWoof Little Black Dress Party, a fundraiser for our animal shelter partners and animal welfare programming, like the Pittsburgh Spay & Neuter Project.
Check out some of the event photos below, or see even more on the WearWoof Facebook page and Instagram, and on my Facebook page, here.
It also got some press coverage, here.
This was truly such a fun event: I won two raffle prizes and enjoyed a signature cocktail and some delicious food — not to mention, I had the opportunity to get dolled up with two of my equally-glammed-out BFFs and ooh-and-ahh over gorgeous handbags and jewelry, all for a good cause!
… What could be better?
So please, enjoy the photos — and I hope that you’ll join us next time!
