According to the official MONQ website MONQ creates “custom blends with essential oils sourced from reputable United States companies,” and all of the MONQ products are organic and sourced from non-GMO, sustainably-harvested, wildcrafted plants.

MONQ says, “Each MONQ blend is a handful of custom-blended essential oils diffused into an organic soy-based vegetable glycerin base. Each blend indicates three prominent ingredients but includes around a dozen ingredients total.” The ingredients can be seen, here.

While these devices may LOOK like vape pens or e-cigs — theyr’e not! They are a recyclable essential oil diffuser which may promote mood change and other effects through MONQ’s custom blends of essential oils and plant extracts, utilizing the ancient practice of aromatherapy.

The concept behind MONQ is that it is Therapeutic Air. According to the MONQ site, “Merriam-Webster defines Therapeutic to mean “producing good effects on your body or mind.” Since MONQ is designed to positively affect your mood, the output of a MONQ device is called Therapeutic Air®. Countless ancient cultures used Aromatherapy for therapeutic purposes. MONQ streamlines the experience.”

So — how do you use MONQ?

Well, first off: you don’t “smoke” it — so don’t worry about stigma or taboo.

To use your MONQ inhaler, simply breathe your choice of Therapeutic Air® into your mouth, exhaling through your nose.

According to MONQ, “this may provide the best experience because aromatherapy is most effective when the aroma is closest to the nose’s Olfactory Nerve Endings. You do NOT inhale. Gentle puffs are sufficient and your mouth does not need to wrap very tightly around the device. Each MONQ device should last at least two to three weeks when used like this, and will provide for approximately 200 gentle puffs.”
