“We are proud to present round two of the Pittsburgh Fashion Week Hall of Fame 2015 Inductees! The lovely Miss Ashley Boynes-Shuck will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year on September, 27th!
Ashley Boynes-Shuck is a well-known writer and award-winning social media personality in Pittsburgh. She is behind the popular fashion and pop culture blog, Glitzburgh. A former fashion journalist for Maniac Magazine, Ashley is currently a lifestyle reporter for the high-end magazine, Moves. 40 Under 40, Who to Follow on Twitter, Best Blogger in Pittsburgh, Most Influential Twitter User, Woman of the Year nominee are a few of her honors. Ashley dabbled in fashion design coursework during high school and college, and is now on the Board of Directors for WearWoof, and is a consultant for Paws N’ Claws Eyewear. Both of these organizations use fashion to benefit animal causes.
Through her work with her fashion & entertainment blog Glitzburgh and her presence on social media, she has covered Pittsburgh Fashion Week, attended the Oprah Winfrey Show, tweeted with Justin Timberlake and Ellen DeGeneres, and has had the opportunity to meet and/or interview several stylish celebrities including Gretchen Rossi, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Simpson, Cindy Crawford, Tyson Beckford, Tim Gunn, Martha Stewart, and others. She was involved in the launch of Airmall Pittsburgh and also had a blog and segment on 96.1 KISS fm during her days interning with Wiz Khalifa’s DJ Bonics called The Intern Ashley Spot where she would discuss fashion and current events.
Ashley’s other passions include health and animals. In fact, Ashley is a published author who talks about how her love for writing, animals, and fashion helped her through life-altering medical diagnoses in her nonfiction book, Sick Idiot. Ashley’s passion for fashion, writing, and animals combine to cultivate a world that is chic and creative. Her love for these endeavors and the city of Pittsburgh shines through in all she continues to achieve.
