I’m writing again! Sure, I write every single day — but it’s almost always blogging or social media posts for my clients.

Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE my job, and I have had some opportunities to be published both online and in print, for which I’m very grateful, but, my goal still is, and has always been, to write a novel – my own novel!

I’m so pleased that I’ve gotten back into writing on a daily basis. The progress of my novel is still nothing to write home about (perhaps that pun was intended…) but, the Writing.com “Writing Prompts” app has really allowed me to focus on writing creative short stories on a daily basis. It definitely helps you to get the creative juices flowing, and you can set whatever parameters you’d like.

Right now, I’m doing 10-15 minute fiction free writes per day, based on whatever prompt the app gives me. So far, I’m loving it, and I’m loving the stories I’ve written. Do any of you utilize this iPhone app? How do you like it?

I think that this is the catalyst I’ve needed to make some headway on my novel…or novels. (Hey, you never know!)
